Museo Del Galeón team welcomes Sujit Tolat of Gallagher and Associates

MARCH 10, 2023

Sujit Tolat, Senior Vice President for the International Practice of Gallagher & Associates visited First Maritime Place this week to meet with Ambassador Carlos C. Salinas, Chairman of the Museo Del Galeón Inc. (MDGI), Gerardo Borromeo, MDGI Trustee, and the Museo Del Galeón project team.

Gallagher & Associates, an international award-winning museum planning and design firm, created the gallery and exhibition designs of Museo Del Galeón, the Philippines' first experiential maritime museum set to open in late 2024 at the Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City.
The story of the Philippines’ precolonial marine exploits, its participation in the historic galleon trade, and the country’s role in the contemporary global maritime stage are told via the museum's four galleries: Ancient Mariners and Their Sea Routes, Circling the World and Back, The New World and the Confluence of Cultures, and The Philippines: A Maritime Nation. It will also feature an immersive experience on board the full-scale representation of Galeón Espíritu Santo, a 17th-century galleon built in Cavite in 1603.
Gallagher & Associates' design for Museo Del Galeón was awarded the Best in Exhibition Design - Concept Category at the Singapore Interior Design Awards (SIDA) 2020.
